# Explore Missions - Player Guide

### **Overview**

This feature is open to players that:

* Have more than 1,000 HXD in their game account
  * Or hold a Rose Gold or Gold permanent pass
  * Or have an active Starter Season Pass when the Explore **begins**

**Rewards**

* Explore missions allow players to collect shards, items, raw materials, and upgrades as well as a chance at winning HXD
* Each hour, HXD will be randomly awarded on a small number of Explore missions - reward range is 50 - 500 HXD
* Higher Missions Scores and longer mission times make it more likely you will receive HXD
* Explore missions aren’t assigned to a specific Land, they are assigned a specific landform (Summit, Seaside, Desert, Meadow, Woodland, or None)
* Zones (and Bee’s Endurance stats) are not a factor

**Missions (Overall)**

* There are 20 Explore missions options offered to each player each day
* Missions can last 1 to 24 hours - longer missions offer better rewards
* **NOTE:** There will only be one 24-hour mission each day
* Each player can have 5 Explore missions running simultaneously
* Players can increase the number of simultaneous Explore missions if they are Gold/Rose Gold/Platinum/Diamond Pass Holders or Honey Bags tier 8 or higher
* Missions that haven’t finished at game reset will continue the next day

**Missions (Parameters)**

* Each Explore mission has a set of mission parameters including mission duration, landform type, and poison tolerance
* There are additional parameters which can include: total required stats, a specific like, dislike, or mood, etc.
* Matching the mission parameters boosts your Explore Mission Score
* The Explore Mission Score affects the class of possible rewards and the chance of receiving them

**Queens and Bees**

* The Queen and Bee’s Health stat impacts the duration of mission they can undertake (see more below)
* Each mission is led by a Queen and can have up to five Explorer Bees
* Cocarro and Genesis Queens can lead Explore missions with no stat reduction
* Earth Gen 1 Queens can lead Explore missions with a 50% stat reduction

**NOTE:** Purchased or traded Queens and Bees have a 12 hour cooldown before they can be sent on Siege or Explore missions

### **Choosing your Explore Mission Team:**

#### **Queen Bee (Leader)**

* Can't be the active Queen
  * **REMINDER:** The active Queen is the Queen that is shown in the Hive and is available to lead Hunting/Harvesting and PvP missions on Earth
* Inactive Genesis Queens can lead any Explore mission and have higher base points
* Cocarro Queens (other than Ancient Queens) can lead Explore missions - their Health stat will need to be high enough to meet the mission parameters
* Ancient Queens can go on any Explore mission regardless of their Health stat and have higher base points
* Earth Gen 1 Queens can lead Explore missions with a 50% stat reduction
* **REMINDER:** Earth Gen 2, Earth Gen 3 Queens, and Training Queens cannot travel to Cocarro

#### **Bees (Explorers)**

* Up to 5 Cocarro and/or Earth male Bees can go on each Explore mission - their Health stat will need to be high enough to meet the mission parameters **NOTE:** Genesis, Chase, and MHV2 Bees can go on any Explore mission
* **REMINDER:** Training Bees cannot travel to Cocarro

#### **Auto Select Mission Team**

Players can use Auto Select to automatically add a Queen and Bees to an Explore mission.

**NOTE:** Backpack items are not part of Auto Select; they always need to be added individually

#### **Health Stat Requirement**

* Bee and Queen’s Health stats determine the length of mission they can undertake
* The required Health stat for regular Earth Bees and Earth Gen 1 Queens is 2x the required Health stat of Cocarro Queens and Bees

### **Mission Score Calculation**

Mission Score is sum of the following:

**Leader (Queen) points - between 50 and 250 points**

* Cannot be the active Queen
* Can use an Earth Gen 1 Queen with a 50% reduction in her stats

**Explorer(s) Bees points - between 10 and 60 points per Bee**

* Five Explorer slots per mission
* Earth Working Bees can receive the full amount of points, due to a 50% reduction in their Health stat, they will only be able to participate in shorter Explore missions

**Backpack - your Backpack has four slots for special items**

* **Divine Paradise Maker\*:** All Bees on the mission will receive the Landform compatibility bonus regardless of their Landform type
* **Holy Flashlight:** Boost the mission score by 30 points (Legendary) or 50 points (Mythic)
* **Celestial Compass:** Leader (Queen) will contribute 250 points to the total Mission Score (Mythic only)
* **RoboPup:** A mechanical toy partner that decreases the Explore time (and required Heath stat) by 25% (Legendary) or 40% (Mythic)

**\*EXCEPTION:** If the mission title is None Mission, it means there is no Landform type associated with the mission. You will not be able to apply a Divine Paradise Maker and you will only see three Backpack slots.

**Honey Bags points are awarded based on the weekly Honey Bags tier when the mission begins**

* **Tier 5** - 10 points
* **Tier 6** - 30 points
* **Tier 7 through 10** - 50 points

Paradise Maker shards can be found on Earth or purchased inside the game. Use the Alchemy Lab to combine a mythic Paradise Maker item with 30 Cocarro Crystals to create a Divine Paradise Maker.

Shards for Holy Flashlight, Celestial Compass, and RoboPup can only be found on Cocarro Explore and Siege Missions. They will not be tradable when Cocarro opens.

### **Mission Rewards**

Explore Mission rewards are based on the Explore Mission score and the duration of the mission. Each reward (shards, items, raw materials, and =upgrades) is assigned to a reward class.

Players also have a chance of receiving HXD rewards. Potential rewards of up to 500 HXD are awarded randomly. Higher Mission Scores make it more likely you will receive HXD.

Full details about the shards, raw materials, and upgrades found on Cocarro missions are listed [here](https://honeyland.helpshift.com/hc/faq/456-what-shards-raw-materials-and-upgrades-are-available-in-cocarro/).

The rewards you see on the right side are guaranteed. The rewards you see on the left side are not guaranteed unless your mission shows as a 5-star mission.

> **Potential Rewards**
>
> **Stars displayed - Requirement (points) - Prize:**
>
> **NOTE:** 5 star missions always get special rewards and quantity is connected to Explore score
>
> * **5 Green Stars**
> * **600+ Points** - Guaranteed Class 1 through Class 6 rewards, longer missions have a better chance of higher rewards\
> **NOTE:** 600 points receives the highest possible rewards, there's no need to add additional points. However, higher scores generate additional Explore Leaderboard points.
> * **5 Gold Stars**
> * **500-549 points** - Guaranteed Class 1 through Class 6 rewards (in smaller quantities than 5 Green Stars)
> * **550-599 points** - Larger number of guaranteed Class 1 through Class 6 rewards (still in smaller quantities than 5 Green Stars)
> * **4 Gold Stars**
>   * **400-449 points** - A chance at Class 1 rewards and guaranteed Class 2 through Class 6 rewards

>   * **250-299 points** - A chance at a higher number of guaranteed Class 3 through Class 6 rewards
> * **1 Gold Star**
>   * **0-99 points** - Guaranteed Class 3 through Class 6 rewards
>   * **100-149 points** - A higher number of guaranteed Class 3 through Class 6 rewards

>
> **HXD Rewards**
>
> Potential rewards of up to 500 HXD are awarded randomly - higher Missions Scores make it more likely you will receive HXD

### **Recovery**

When the mission ends, the entire team of Bees and the leader (Queen) will go on recovery (based on each of their recovery stats) during which they can't participate in another mission.

**The Bee’s recovery time is reduced based on the leader’s generation:**

* Genesis leader - 25% reduction
* Gen 1 leader - 15% reduction
* Gen 2 leader - 8% reduction
* Gen 3 leader - no reduction

**The Queen leader’s recovery time is reduced based on the active Queen’s generation:**

* Genesis leader - 25% reduction
* Gen 1 leader - 15% reduction
* Gen 2 leader - 8% reduction
* Gen 3 leader - no reduction
