# FAQs

<details>

<summary>What is Universe 1 (Earth) in Honeyland?</summary>

Universe 1 is the **original game environment** in Honeyland, where players engage in **Hunting and Harvesting** missions as well as other foundational activities using their Bees, Queens, and Lands.

<summary>How does a shield protect my hive in Universe 1?</summary>

Deploying a Shield protects your Earth (Universe 1) Hive from being Raided by other players. It removes you from the list of Hives that are available for Player vs. Player (PvP) play for the duration the Shield is active. This provides a layer of defense for your Hive and helps safeguard your resources.&#x20;

You can acquire a Shield item by redeeming Shield shards that you have collected. These shards can be earned through various activities within the game. Alternatively, you have the option to purchase a Shield item from the in-game Marketplace providing you with immediate protection for your Hive.

If you have a Shield up and Attack another player, your Shield will be deactivated even if you still have Shield time remaining.

**REMINDER:** If you log in for 6 consecutive days, you will automatically be given a Shield on the 7th day. If you do not attack other players (PvP), you will receive a free Shield each consecutive day you log in thereafter. If you attack (PvP) other players, the Shield will be removed and your consecutive day count will be reset.&#x20;

**NOTE:** All players are provided with a 24 hour Shield each time the game returns from a maintenance downtime. This is to allow players time to get their PvP teams in place before PvP resumes.

**Look out!** - If you activate a Shield after raiding other Hives, it won’t protect you from revenge attacks from the players you have raided.

You can create a Shield item by redeeming Shield shards. There are five different rarities of Shield.

| **Rarity** | **Cost**   | **Background** | **Protects Hive from Attack** |
| ---------- | ---------- | -------------- | ----------------------------- |
| Common     | 20 shards  | Green          | 6 hours                       |
| Rare       | 40 shards  | Blue           | 12 hours                      |
| Epic       | 80 shards  | Red            | 28 hours                      |
| Legendary  | 150 shards | Yellow         | 62 hours                      |
| Mythic     | 300 shards | Purple         | 136 hours                     |

<summary>Can Bees from Universe 2 (Cocarro) be used on Earth missions?</summary>

* Yes—but only **Cocarro Genesis Bees** retain full stats. All other Cocarro Bees have a **50% stat penalty** when used on Earth missions.
* They still receive Queen mood-match boosts if mood-aligned.
* Higher **Endurance** is needed to reach far Zones due to stat penalt

</details>

<details>

<summary>How can I earn shards quickly on Earth?</summary>

Methods include:

* Hunting honeypots (especially on Extreme lands for specific shard types)
* Participating in daily Lucky Wheel and raffles
* Owning land (weekly shard airdrops)
* Referral bonuses, social media linking, Discord/community events, and converting Training Bees.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do mood matching and upgrade resets work?</summary>

* When a Bee's mood matches the Queen's mood, they receive a stat boost—percentage depends on Queen Generation and level as well as the male bees Generation.
* You can **reset upgrades** for Bees via the Workshop (cost based on generation) to revert to base stats, but cosmetics remain and you **lose upgrade shards**.
* Chase and Ancient Bees cannot be reset

</details>

<details>

<summary>How does your active Queen affect mission performance on Earth?</summary>

* You can only have **one active Earth Queen**, who leads missions and provides mood-match stat boosts (mood matching boosts vary by generation and level).
* Queens also reduce cooldown (recovery) time on successive missions—higher for Genesis than Gen 1/2/3.
* Queen **level determines offspring upgrade slots** when breeding.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What are Training Bees and how do they differ from Working Bees?</summary>

* **Training Bees** are starter Bees used for early missions and shard conversion. They have limited lives and mission capabilities.
* **Training Bees** can retire and be converted into shards.
* **Training Bees** **cannot hunt on Extreme lands**
* **Training Bees cannot be sold or used in trades**.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do shards, items, and upgrades work on Earth?</summary>

* **Honeypots** from Hunting contain shards which can be redeemed into upgrade items via your Inventory.
* These items boost Bee traits (e.g. Health, Attack, Luck, Agility) at varying rarities: Common → Mythic. Upgrade percentages and stat caps depend on rarity.
* Queens use different upgrade items to increase level (up to 20) and grant stat boosts/mood bonuses.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do Land Zones, Landforms, and Climate affect mission strategy?</summary>

* Earth has **8 Zones**, with Zone 8 being farthest from the center and tending to yield faster honey production and shorter honeypot drop times, but Higher **Endurance** is required for Bees to reach distant zones.
* **Landform Specialty** gives stat bonuses when your Bees’ landform matches the land you send them to.
* **Climate** types (Normal vs. Extreme) affect hunting shards:
  * **Normal Lands** offer a variety of shards.
  * **Extreme Lands** produce one type per day; training Bees **cannot hunt** on extreme lands.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens if I don’t claim my rewards in time?</summary>

Rewards on Earth **expire after specific durations**:

* **Harvest, Hunt, Land rewards**: 1 week
* **Honey Bags (Daily)**: 1 day
* **Honey Bags (Weekly/Monthly)**: 1 week / 1 month
* **Deposited HXD or WAX**: 4 weeks\
  Always check reward details in-game to avoid missing them
