# Chapter 8: The Gemstones of Cocarros - a report

For the attention of Queen Apisara, for her eyes only.

Your Majesty, our agents have recently returned from Cocarro with fresh information. This mission has seen our agents go undercover and has taken months of research and planning in order to bring us success. While the general population of Cocarro are not a danger to our Bees, the locals have been hesitant to volunteer information. It is for this reason that we have had to undergo this operation.

What we can report is that the residents of Cocarro seem to hold high regard for certain items, gemstones of unusual size. These 8 gemstones are almost more myth than substance, however, there does seem to be enough concrete evidence pointing towards their existence.

What our agents have managed to figure out is the details of the gems in question. There are 8 in total, and they are: The Topaz of Tranquility. The Sapphire of Serenity. The Onyx of Order. The Peridot of Peace. The Emerald of Equanimity. The Opal of Optimism. The Ruby of Restfulness. And The Diamond of Delightfulness.

Our agents have also discovered that several of the locals are considered experts in these gemstones. However, they have only been able to discover the names of two of these individuals, but not which stones they are expert in. The two locals that they have been able to identify are Dr. Taco-meter, and Patchwork Percy, although the location of these individuals is unknown.

Furthermore, there seems to be evidence to indicate that the gems are shattered and will need to have all of their fragments collected to be of any use. Our agents have found records that point to the local ‘experts’ as being the only ones with the knowledge of how to knit the fragments back together.

We have not been able to determine exactly what the gemstones’ importance is, but we believe that it is very beneficial to any Beekeeper to seek out the gemstones if they get any information or opportunity to do so.

Hopefully this information is of use to you, Your Majesty, and to the Beekeepers. We advise you to share this with the Beekeepers when you think they are ready for it.

Our agents continue to explore Cocarro and another report will be sent to you soon. We will be ready to do the same in any future universes that we encounter. Long live Her Majesty, Queen Apisara.

Loyally,

Spymaster Ferdinand
