# Chapter 2: Old Bees, New Friends

The evacuation of Honeyland didn’t quite go off without a hitch. With the necessary secrecy about the evacuation, when the Queen announced the plan, the Bees of Honeyland only had a short window to respond. This led to many being caught outside of the optimum area and some Bees were transported to different universes.

However, something unexpected also happened. With the Contagion’s forces growing more and more aggressive, Bees that had chosen to disengage with society were among the first to seek shelter. This caused many legendary and mysterious Bees to head towards the capital, meaning they were well inside the radius of Bees being transported to Earth.

Upon arrival on Earth, these Bees immediately looked to establish themselves on the fringes of society once again. Many of these individuals have been alive since well before the Contagion’s existence and know more of the history of Honeyland than almost any other Bee in the kingdom. With the Queen having to set about establishing the Bee population on Earth and planning on how to get back to Honeyland, she didn’t have time to educate the new, Earth-born Bees on their history.

So, she sought out these odd individuals, and tasked them with teaching the history of Honeyland to new generations. How they chose to do so would be up to them, and the Queen would provide support if they needed it.

These special Bee-ings decided unanimously to hold a council and work together for a cohesive approach. They asked the Queen what her hopeful plans for the future of the Bees were. When the Queen told them that she hoped to get the Bees battle-ready, and strong enough to fight the Contagion forces, they had their answer. They would teach through battle training.

The Queen then provided enough soldiers to act as Contagion forces in training matches, and left them to it. Now, whenever Beekeepers approach these Bee-ings, they will be told a story, but to earn more of the story, they must complete a training battle. By learning more about the history of Honeyland, the Queen hopes to keep the future generations inspired in the quest to head home.
